Loan Periods
The Library staff will check out books and audios for three weeks and magazines for one week.
Books and audios may be renewed twice, with the exception of being an item on a reserved list, interlibrary loan, or a teacher checkout.
DVDs and videos check out for one week.
Magazines and DVDs/videos are not renewable.
Teacher cards are available for public school teachers and home-schooling parents.
Reserving Materials
The Library staff will reserve books for patrons and hold the book for a maximum of three working days, excluding days the Library is closed, after which time the book will be available for loan to another borrower.
Items new to the library catalog will be restricted for local use only for a period of six months. After six months the items will be available to loan to other libraries through swift or the union catalog reservation system.
Local hold requests will be given priority.
Interlibrary Loan
Interlibrary loan items not picked up within five working days will be returned to the borrowing library.
New patrons will have a 30 day waiting period before they receive interlibrary loan privileges.
